TheYaesu VX-246 heavy duty PMR446 transceiver provides 500 mW ERP of power for reliable two-way communications within a two-mile radius depending upon terrain.

Lock out interference and annoying breakthrough from other stations on the same channels by choosing from one of 38 CTCSS tones or from one of 104 DCS sequences on one of the 8 preprogrammed RF channels in the PMR446 allocated frequency range. Upto 16 different channel / CTCSS or DCS sequences can be programmed into the radio. The radio can be programmed using the front panel keypad, by means of a PC based software programmer or cloned from another VX-246 using the CT-27 clone cable kit.
